Extra Leafy Green Juice Recipes

If one little shot of fresh green juice just isn’t enough, these are the recipes for you. Sometimes you just want to kick it up a notch and double up on some leafy green goodness. Don’t settle for less.

Since there are so many greens of varying amounts in these recipes, I won’t be listing them all as individual measures of juice. Instead, some of the ingredients are listed as whole foods (as in leaves or stalks). Shouldn’t be a big deal.

The Green Machine

Let’s start off with a powerhouse of green ingredients.

  • 1 small handful of baby spinach leaves
  • 3 stalks of celery, chopped
  • 1 little bunch of young dandelion greens
  • 1 small handful of parsley
  • 3 big kale leaves
  • 1 shot of wheatgrass juice
  • 2 pears, seeded
  • 1/2 green apple, cored
  • 1/2 cucumber, peeled and seeded

Gather up all your greens, and juice everything up.

And if you’re wondering, yes you can use dandelion right from your yard (as long as you haven’t sprayed any weird fertilizers out there). If you’re not up for foraging, you may be able to get fresh dandelion leaves at your supermarket, or you can just substitute a bit more spinach.

Greens and Fruit Juice

A little ginger in this recipe gives it a zing that blends nicely with the green flavors. There are also a few more fruit ingredients for a sweeter juice.

  • 1 small cucumber, peeled and seeded
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 2 pears, seeded
  • 1/2 cantaloupe
  • 5 kale leaves
  • 1 shot of wheatgrass juice
  • 1/2 lemon, peeled and seeded
  • 1 inch chunk of ginger, peeled

As usual, prep up your ingredients and juice it all.

The Green Glow

You can use leafy greens in any sort of juice, even a tropical blend like this one. You can even put a little paper umbrella in it if you want.

  • 3 big spears of pineapple
  • 1 shot of wheatgrass juice
  • 3 kale leaves
  • Small handful of spinach leaves
  • 1/2 cucumber, peeled and seeded
  • 1/2 lemon, peeled and seeded

I’m not sure you need instructions at this point. Gather up, chop where needed and juice everything into a glass.

Less Leafy Greens

Not all your greens have to be in leafy form. A great juice blend can include other green veggies too.

  • 2 big leaves of kale
  • 1 shot wheatgrass juice
  • 1/2 zucchini
  • 1/2 small head of broccoli
  • 2 tart green apples, cored

Make sure you use a fairly small and tender zucchini for this or it won’t really juice up all that well. Otherwise, chop and juice.  Remember to checkout our beloved Healthy Juicer – the ultimate cold-press juicer!
