Fruit Juice Blend Recipes

One of the very best ways to use wheatgrass juice (or any green juice for that matter) is to blend it along with a tasty mix of other fresh fruit juices. Sweet fruit juices go so well with the sharp green flavor of wheatgrass, so that’s the focus of today’s recipe collection.

Since you’re clearly a lover of juicing, the recipes are written using whole fruit rather than volumes of liquid juice. And you can also use frozen fruit if that’s what you have. Really, whatever works is fine.

Remember – you need to use a specialized cold-press juicer such as the Healthy Juicer (a cold-press masticating juicer) for wheatgrass and other leafy greens!  A “normal” juicer will not extract juice, but just tear it apart due to it’s strong fibrous nature.

Sweet and Smooth

So many fruit juice recipes are heavy on the pineapple. For a change, here is one with a few different fruit options. It’s a little sweeter and without the tart taste you can get from more tropical fruits (like pineapple or citrus)

  • 1 tart apple
  • 2 pears
  • 1/2 cup sweet cherries
  • 1 oz shot fresh wheatgrass juice

Use pears that are a bit on the softer side to get the most juice, and chop them up with your apples and cherries. Juice everything up and enjoy. You’ll get one large serving of juice from this recipe.

Berry Blast

A mix of blueberry and strawberry will make you a lovely purple juice, loaded with antioxidants and delicious flavor.

  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 2 cups mango
  • 1 oz shot of wheatgrass juice

If this juice blend recipe is a little too thick for you, feel free to add a little extra water. Otherwise, juice it up and enjoy. Will make about one serving.

Taste of the Tropics

I already mentioned pineapple so it wouldn’t be fair to leave out one of these classic juicing recipes.

  • 1 cup chopped pineapple
  • 1 seedless orange
  • 1 small apple
  • 1 oz shot wheatgrass juice

You probably have the hang of this by now, but all you have to do is chop up your fruit and run it all through the juicer. Makes one glass of healthy fruit juice for you.

Berry, Berry Grape

The grapes have a mild flavor and it tones down the stronger berries very nicely.

  • 1 cup green grapes
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 oz shot of wheatgrass juice

Combine it all in your juicer, and make up a big glass of juice. The grapes have a mild flavor and it tones down the stronger berries very nicely.

As with any juice blend recipe, you can always tweak these to suit your own taste or simply to manage what fruit you actually happen to have in your fridge. These are just a few suggestions to get you thinking about different ways you can combine fruit and your wheatgrass juice.
